The Job

The Sales and Marketing Assistant takes a leadership role in managing our social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Google+, Twitter, and LinkedIn. They create relevant content regularly, including photos and posts, and interact with followers by liking, commenting, and responding to questions.

The Sales and Marketing Assistant uses tools including HotJar and Buffer to manage our website and social media respectively. They write blog posts for our website, manage the layout, and add additional sections/pages when needed.

The Sales and Marketing Assistant leads the creation and development of our annual marketing strategy, calendar and budget, allocate necessary resources (internal/external) to successfully execute plans, and ensure project delivery and results are meeting expectations on brand, on time and on budget. They implement engagement campaigns and other types of campaigns and will build and maintain influencer relationships to increase brand awareness; explore new distribution and partnerships to scale the growth, and analyze and report on marketing performance and make recommendations. The Sales and Marketing Assistant will drive our CRM and work closely with Senior Management.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Improve, develop, and execute key marketing strategies to drive inbound leads;

  • Analyze marketing results and marketing channel performance on a continuous basis, create and present performance reports, and develop and implement proper actions to improve performance;

  • Continuously improve our digital marketing channels and optimize them to drive high quality traffic and leads;

  • Keep all accounts, contacts, notes, and opportunity information up to date for management report generation;

  • Periodically conduct information only presentation, seminars, trade shows, demonstrations, etc.;

  • Extensive use of CRM and other tools to build and maintain accurate activity, contact, and account information of all customers and prospects;

  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, and potential for new products and services.

 

Qualifications

  • A completed or in progress BS/MS in Business, Arts, or a related discipline. Diploma certificates are also okay!

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, Database Management Software, email marketing programs, and other marketing software

  • 1+ years experience in a sales and customer service focused role

  • Experience in managing social media accounts for software businesses or similar

  • Self-starter persona, dependable, and possesses the ability to respond quickly and accurately on multiple priorities

  • Excellent research, analytical, and reporting skills

  • Experience using HotJar and Buffer is an asset

  • Legal working status in Canada, please note that we do not have resources to sponsor work permits
